The DfE have written to local authorities Director of Childrens’ Services (DCS) with details of their duties towards UASC during Covid-19. Information and guidance is available on the Government website.
Where an unaccompanied asylum seeking child arrives in England and is symptomatic of coronavirus (COVID-19), the local authority receiving them will need to take steps to ensure that they are placed in suitable accommodation in isolation from other people in line with PHE self-isolation guidance.
